La primera vez que lo escuché fue mientras Django cabalgaba en busca de venganza. La primera vez que volé fue con su música fue mientras sonaba Country Comes to Town por traer a mi mente una idea tan personal, después de eso no solté su música; aquí varios días después de escuchar este último trabajo que personalmente me encantó, que me deja esperando canciones que no llegarán. Un excelente trabajo, y en esta ocasión siento que The Longing es una despedida que se quedará grabada en mi cabeza, una última cabalgata hasta el vuelo eterno. Descansa paz donde quiera que estés.

Habe meinen Onkel vor ca. einem Monat verloren. Er konnte in endloser Depression sein Haus nicht mehr verlassen und ist schlussendlich, an einem Darmverschluss verendet. Obwohl er die Diagnose hatte und es ihm zum Schluss so schlecht ging, wollte er einfach nicht ins Krankenhaus gehen. Die Telefonate waren sehr sehr belastend. Er hat immer oft vor Schmerzen gestöhnt während der Telefonate. Es ging Monate lang so. Meine Mutter und ich konnten auf ihn einreden wie wir wollten, es hat einfach nichts gebracht. Sitze nun sehr oft betrunken zuhause rum und denke daran wie er mal war früher... sehr Lustig immer gelächelt und ich weine so unendlich sehr. 😢 Bin auf dieses Album gestoßen und habe es mir gleich bestellt. Fast jedes Lied passt genau zu der Situation von ihm und wie es ihm bis zum Schluss ging. *Wir sehen uns wieder* 😢 In endlose Trauer bleibe ich hier zurück.

'As the March of Worms' = obviously, song title implies the absolute meaninglessness of human life. The closing part of the track is simply divine in its absolute rage and despair. It's a pity that (in my opinion) only the first Twilight album achieved such perfection...

There is something in it that touches me deeply and I had the same feeling a few months ago when attending a mass in a Russian - orthodox church... These choirs were also war-inspiring...
